Our sponsorship packages represent excellent value for money, allowing you to promote your company to a membership of more than 700 as well as many hundreds of visitors each year.
 
Thank you for showing an interest in the sponsorship opportunities now available at Bedford & County Golf Club.
 
As you may already be aware, Bedford & County Golf Club is the longest established members’ course in the region and one of the county’s premier golf courses, as evidenced by the hosting of National and County Championships. It is also featured on www.top100golfcourses.co.uk. King Edward VIII, the Right Honourable Lord Ampthill and Henry Longhurst, author and golf commentator are among the club’s more distinguished guests.
 
The club has a membership of more than 700 and attracts many hundreds of visitors and hosts events for many golf societies during the course of the year.
 
I am confident that you, your colleagues and your guests will discover that Bedford & County Golf Club offers the complete golfing experience; an outstanding golf course to enjoy and a comfortable clubhouse and restaurant in which to relax.
 
Having recently replaced all of the tee signs on the course we currently have a small number of new sponsorship opportunities available. Our new tee signs are sized 600mm x 250mm and incorporate all relevant hole information along with a full colour graphic of the hole layout. Sponsors’ boards are made of the same high quality materials, measure 600mm x 120mm (approx. 24” x 5”) and sit just below the main hole sign – please see attached examples below (click to enlarge.)  
 
In return for your sponsorship you will not only have your business’ logo or banner displayed prominently alongside the tee sign for each hole that you sponsor, you will also benefit from:
 
  • 4 complimentary rounds of golf for each sponsor and guests (a maximum of 4 people per round) at any time midweek or after 2pm at weekends (which on current green fees could be worth up to £544 alone) 
  • regular inclusion of sponsors’ details and sponsors’ profiles in club communications such as ‘News & Views’ our club newsletter 
  • ‘click-through’ links from our website which, based on existing web traffic numbers, will attract in excess of 200 visitors per week. 
  • the opportunity to display banners on ‘your tee’ and/or promotional material in the clubhouse during the club’s premier events (Captain’s Day and Lady Captain’s Day) NB. Sponsors may also gain further profile on the day by sponsoring specific prizes at these events should they wish. 
  • the opportunity to promote your business via ‘Sponsor’s Profile’ for inclusion on the club notice boards and website 
  • the opportunity to write to all Bedford & County Golf Club members once a year to promote your products or services, or a specific initiative such as an open day or launch party 
  • discounted entry fee for the Club’s hugely popular Corporate Golf Day in June (this year sponsor’s paid just £100 for a team of 4 to cover food and facilities as opposed to £220) 
  • preferential rates when booking rooms for functions (although I appreciate that this unlikely to be of interest to you!)

The cost of a year’s sponsorship is just £450 + VAT which equates to a little over £1.20 per day for a full colour banner as well as all of the other benefits detailed above. As the sponsorship year runs from April to March the cost for the part year will be pro-rated accordingly.
 
I hope that you will agree that our sponsorship package represents excellent value for money and that you will therefore want to accept the invitation to sponsor a hole at Bedford & County Golf Club. We currently have only two holes available, the fourth (‘College Farm’, 464 yard, par 4, stroke index 2) and the seventh (‘Brook’, 419 yard, par 4, stroke index 4). Should you wish to view these at closer at quarters I would be more than happy to treat you to a complimentary round of golf or provide a brief guided tour.
