The course

The combination of nearly a century of attention to detail, mature woodland and an undulating land- scape means that the course’s established tree lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and manicured greens, many full of subtle breaks and borrows provide a genuine challenge to golfers of all handicaps! The standard of upkeep, in all seasons and weather, has made Bedford & County a connoisseurs’ course.  Each hole is named – a reminder of the heritage of the club. The most challenging of all is the 15th , The Waafery. Others such as Blasted Ash, May Tree, Little Pastures and The Spinney evidence the course’s lush parkland setting. Beware of the brook that meanders through the 7th, 10th, 11th and 15th – it is just one of the many surprises of this jewel of a course. Please view our hole descriptions for further details.  The course measures 6,420 yards, par 70 for men
and 5,641 yards, par 73 for ladies.

Hole by Hole Tour

In spite of being just a couple of miles from the centre of Bedford, the course could almost be in the middle of the countryside offering as it does, panoramic views and a quiet and peaceful backdrop to a round of golf, devoid of the distraction of either trafiic noise or nearby houses. ...
